Council of Ministers approves legislative decree on transparent conditions
The Council of Ministers has approved, in preliminary examination, a legislative decree implementing the EU Directive 2019/1152 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 20 June 2019, on transparent and predictable working conditions in the European Union.
The Decree governs the right to information on the essential elements of the employment relationship and on working conditions and their protection. The text provides for the employer to communicate, in a transparent, clear, complete, in accordance with the accessibility standards also referred to persons with disabilities and free of charge, to each worker, in paper or electronic format, a detailed set of information.
In addition, the employer or the client must inform the employee of the possible use of automated decision-making or monitoring systems to provide information relevant to the recruitment or assignment, the management or termination of the employment relationship, the assignment of tasks as well as incident indications on the monitoring, evaluation, performance and fulfilment of the contractual obligations of the workers.
