The European Commission has launched the EU Knowledge Valorisation Platform, a digital space providing an interactive forum to stimulate cross-border cooperation and improve the wide circulation of research results in society and the economy.
'The platform will enable the sharing of best practices, knowledge and skills, thereby improving policies and enhancing skills and competences. This will promote a strong culture of entrepreneurship, inclusive innovation in Europe and the valorisation of knowledge, transforming research results into sustainable solutions with economic value and benefits for society», explains the Commission.
The Platform is one of the actions under the new Communication on the European Research Area (ERA) and will contribute to the development of the Code of Practice for the Intelligent Use of Intellectual Property, in response to requests from Member States.
The policy measures present concrete practices that cover a wide range of topics, from cross-sectoral mobility to knowledge transfer intermediaries and smart intellectual property management, industrial and local innovation ecosystems and unconventional knowledge absorption partnerships.
