A partnership has been formed between Crédit Agricole Italia and the Ministry of Agriculture, Food, and Forestry to promote and develop the Italian agricultural and agrifood sector, allowing companies in the sector easier access to credit. The agreement establishes a dedicated ceiling of 3 billion euros as part of a broader support programme that includes specialised consultancy services, initiatives for young farmers, and support for the use of alternative financing channels, including a significant increase in the use of ISMEA guarantees as a strategic asset to be exploited to support the creditworthiness of agricultural enterprises.
Support is given to young people who want to start new agricultural businesses, confirming the Bank's role as a reference interlocutor in assisting Italian agricultural and agri-food enterprises on their path to growth, with a particular emphasis on business sustainability. The agreement is a significant step towards the convergence of financing and development policies in the agriculture sector.
