The Digital Skills and Jobs Platform, a single point of access for the collection of high-quality information and resources on digital skills and ICT professions across Europe, has been online for a few weeks. It is an initiative of the European Union and brings together the entire community of coalitions for digital skills.

The platform provides an active collaborative space for discussions and sharing of digital skills initiatives, so that a network of experts can be created across Europe, with the aim of fostering synergies and successful exchanges of experience. It also allows you to be updated on initiatives, projects and training courses on digital skills and provides guidance on job opportunities. By accessing the Digital Skills and Jobs Platform you can receive information on digital trends and use self-assessment tools to better define your professional path and understand the different opportunities for improvement of your competencies. Demand for information and communication technology specialists is growing rapidly and forecasts show that 9 out of 10 jobs will require digital skills.

"In the digital world, our personal lives, as well as the future of work, are defined by emerging technologies - reads the platform - New technological solutions such as artificial intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (Iot), blockchain, big data, Robotics or Augmented and Virtual Reality (AR/VR) offer a wide range of opportunities for innovation and growth. However, understanding their impact and keeping up to date with the ever-increasing pace of change can be a challenge for many. To help all European citizens and businesses, including SMEs, to keep abreast of and benefit fully from these technological advances, the Digital Skills and Work Platform has expanded its learning pillar with Digital Skillup - an online guide that explains emerging technologies in a simple, accessible and engaging way".
