In recent weeks, the DGPI-UIBM decree of the Ministry of Business was published in the Official Gazette, indicating the resources to be allocated for the year 2025 to the Patents+, Designs+ and Brands+ measures. This marks the start of the process for reopening the calls for proposals in order to ensure continuity in supporting SMEs in the enhancement of industrial property rights.
The total budget of 32 million euros to be allocated to SME grants is divided into:
20 million euros for Patents+,
10 million euros for Designs+,
2 million euros for Brands+.
Within the next 30 days, the calls for proposals will be defined by the DGIAI, the Directorate-General for Business Incentives, and the deadlines for submitting grant applications will be set.
