Ten companies in the stone industry, coming from Orosei, Buddusò, Arzachena and Tempio, are the protagonists at the Middle East Stone in Dubai, the largest Middle Eastern trade fair dedicated to the natural stone, marble and ceramic industries. Their participation, supported by the Regional Industry Council, has cost 120 thousand euros and is one of the activities included in the three-year internationalization program with the aim of making Sardinian companies more visible abroad. A 100 square meter stand was reserved for the ten companies, set up with the support of the ICE, the Italian Trade Agency.

"According to the data of ICE Agency, in recent years Sardinia is among the Italian regions that has invested more in internationalization plans," says the Regional Minister for Industry, Maria Grazia Piras. «In 2017 we were in third place in Italy, after Tuscany and Trentino Alto Adige, with a cost of 10 million euro to support internationalization», he continues. «With the € 16 million three-year program, recently updated until 2020, we have accompanied over 600 companies to conquer new foreign markets through incentives, training activities, services, B2B meetings, targeted overseas missions and initiatives for businesses agrifood and ICT ", underlines the Minister . "Even thanks to our policies, the export of the island is clearly improving - Piras adds - the road is the right one and we must continue to follow it".

From September 23 to 28 there will be a Boot Camp in London that will end with a day of presentation of the Sardinia system in favour of innovative companies. The event is dedicated to companies specialized in ICT , culture and environment, smart grids for efficient energy management,agritech and foodtech , biomedicine, aerospace, technology and financial innovation. During the initiative there will be the presentation of the Sardinian start-ups to international investors, an individual mentoring activity carried out by selected consultants, a visit to co- working spaces,accelerators and companies in the technology sector, participation in events dedicated and other activities to raise awareness of the potential offered by Sardinian companies to the British market.
