To define a new model of industrial policies, thus accompanying Italian companies towards the modernisation of supply chains and technological changes.
With this objective in mind, the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy and Invitalia signed a Memorandum of Understanding for analysis activities that are useful for the definition of a new model of industrial policies.
The Memorandum is part of the path of the Ministry to define, by the first half of 2024, the new strategic vision of industrial policy, called "Made in Italy 2030", linking the traditional sectors of strength of the Italian production system to the ongoing digital technological, environmental and geoeconomics transformations.
The Memorandum, lasting 3 years, aims to enhance the skills of Invitalia integrating them with the vision for a new Italian industrial policy that the Ministry is carrying out, drawing on the common databases of the Ministry and the Agency and carrying out impact assessments of public policies and incentives.
The joint work between the Ministry of Enterprises and Invitalia will start with an analysis of the needs of the Italian industrial system, of its strengths and weaknesses, thus leading to the elaboration of sectoral industrial policies based on the identification of strategic sectors, the modernisation of supply chains as well as the rethinking of the State’s support role for enterprises
