Italy starts the Covid-19 Green Certification that attests either the vaccination against Sars-Cov2, or the negative result of an antigenic or molecular swab carried out in the last 48 hours, or the recovery from the infection. The free document, in digital and printable format, facilitates in our country the participation in public events (such as fairs, concerts, sports competitions, parties on the occasion of religious or civil ceremonies), access to health care residences and movement into and out of territories that may be classified as "red zone" or "orange zone". On the national platform dgc.gov.it, created and managed by Sogei and active from Thursday, June 17, citizens will be able to start receiving notifications via email or SMS notifying that the certification is available and a code to download it on PC, tablet or smartphone. The sending of messages and the unlocking of activations will continue throughout the month of June, and will be fully operative from 28 June on, in time for the activation of the European pass scheduled for 1 July. The certification, which is the result of the joint work of the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Economy and Finance and the Minister for Technological Innovation and Digital Transition, in collaboration with the Commissarial Structure for Emergency Covid-19 and with the support of the technological partner Sogei, contains a QR Code that verifies its authenticity and validity. For the protection of personal data, the QR Code of the certification must be shown only to the staff in charge of the controls by law. The COVID-19 Green Certification can be viewed, downloaded and printed on different digital channels:

In case of difficulties, or unavailability, in the use of digital tools, general practitioners, paediatricians of free choice and chemists who have access to the Health Card System will be involved. From 1 July, the COVID-19 Green Certification will be valid as Eu digital COVID certificate and will make it easier to travel to and from all countries of the European Union and the Schengen area.
