
At 12 noon on 5 February 2025, the telematic point for the submission of applications for access to the resources of the Fund to support industrial transition will be operational; it’s a measure that aims to promote the adaptation of the Italian production system to EU policies on combating climate change.
The opening date of the telematic point has been defined by a directorial decree issued by the Ministry of Enterprise and Made in Italy. The funds earmarked for the measure are 400 million euros, in the form of a non-repayable grant, 40% of which will be made available to the regions of Abruzzo, Basilicata, Calabria, Campania, Molise, Apulia, Sardinia and Sicily. In addition, within the scope of the decree and in view of the purposes connected with the measure, a 50% share of the sum will be reserved for energy-intensive enterprises
The subsidies are granted to enterprises of any size that operate throughout Italy and must pursue at least one of the following aims
- increased energy efficiency in the execution of the business activity in compliance with the limits and conditions set out in Title II of the directorial decree of 23 December 2024;
- an efficient use of resources, through a reduction in the use of resources also through the reuse, recycling or recovery of raw materials and/or the use of recycled raw materials in compliance with the limits and conditions provided for in Title III of the same decree.
The resources are made available from the funds of the NRRP under Measure M1, Component C2, Investment 7 ‘Support to the production system for the ecological transition, zero net emission technologies and the competitiveness and resilience of strategic supply chains.
Applications must be submitted exclusively electronically through Invitalia's IT platform, which, on behalf of the Ministry, will manage the measure and take care of the preliminary investigation for admission to the subsidies.
Invitalia will publish on its platform the outline for filling in the applications and the indications regarding the documentation to be attached.
