The Region of Sardinia has announced three new calls for proposals from the European Fund for Maritime Affairs, Fisheries and Aquaculture (FEAMPA) for companies in the island's fisheries sector.
The region has committed an additional €3 million to the calls.
Among the investments foreseen in Actions 1, 3 and 5, which are the subject of calls for proposals published between 31 March and 1 April, under the strategic objective "A more sustainable Europe", are those aimed at improving energy efficiency and reducing CO2 emissions through the replacement and modernisation of fishing vessel engines, as foreseen in Action 1, with the aim of mitigating the impact on climate change.
