ICE, the Italian Agency for Foreign Trade promotes our local wines in North America through the participation to "Great tasting of Italian wines in Canada". Now in its 24th edition, the event has become fundamental for the promotion of Italian wine in the world. The traveling event will stop in Vancouver on October 22nd, in Calgary on October 24th, in Toronto on October 28th and Montreal on October 30th. Canada is one of the leading markets for Italian wine exports in that geographical area. In the last ten years, its value has increased from 218 to 361 million euros, with a growth of 66%. Italy is the leading exporter of wine in Canada in terms of volumes, with 77 million litres supplied in 2018. Forecasts for the coming years confirm an annual growth of 3.3% in quantity and 3.7% in value, exceeding in the 2022 the 688 million litres.
During the four appointments, each exhibitor will have a workstation fitted with testing counters to propose their wines to importers, Ho.Re.Ca. companies, specialized journalists, opinion leaders and wine lovers. In 2018, 120 companies participated with over 500 labels from 17 Italian regions and 3.500 visitors including commercial operators, journalists and opinion leaders.
Participants will need to fill in the online form. Once the process is complete, the system automatically generates an email with instructions and the attached registration form, which must be printed, stamped and signed on each page by the legal representative and sent via certified mail to vini@cert.ice.it no later than April 29, 2019.
