The Sardinian Regional Council has approved a resolution authorising the implementation of Action 1.3.3 "Development of advanced services for SMEs (small and medium-sized enterprises) and SME networks, as well as support for internationalisation," with an initial budget of 2.5 million euros from Sardinia ERDF 2021-2027 PR resources - Priority 1 "Smart competitiveness."
The intervention consists of two main lines of action: the financing of Temporary Export Managers (TEMs) to assist beneficiary companies, and support for the purchase of consulting services to obtain product certifications, which are required for compliance with the requirements of foreign markets, particularly those outside the EU.
TEMs are highly qualified professionals who can assist SMEs in the process of international commercial penetration by developing and implementing customised export strategies, selecting target markets, managing foreign relations, and planning project finances.
Certification services will include both technical (product adaptations, documentation) and regulatory aspects, depending on the target markets' specific characteristics. Unioncamere Sardegna will execute the measure through its local chamber structures, with an IT system capable of handling vouchers and automating procedures.
"We are sure that our manufacturing system's growth is also dependent on our capacity to export and enter new markets. With this effort, we hope to assist the most dynamic enterprises in taking a qualitative leap forward," stated Giuseppe Meloni, Vice-President of the Regional Council and Councillor for Planning, Budget, Credit, and Territorial Structure.
