'START: Giovani & Impresa' is the Sardinia Region's intervention for young Sardinians aged 18 to 35 who aspire to transform their ideas into viable business ventures. The initiative is supported by the Region of Sardinia and the Ministry for Sport and Youth, and it is carried out in conjunction with Invitalia.
It provides opportunities for young Sardinians by enhancing the island's artistic, cultural, and environmental resources.
As Councillor for Education and Culture Ilaria Portas pointed out, Sardinia's young entrepreneurship rate is lower than the national average. It is therefore vital to reverse the trend by establishing specific hubs that connect educational institutions, universities, and the corporate world.
The course is designed to help young aspiring entrepreneurs, including high school, university, and postgraduate students. Tools that are deemed necessary for skill development, company planning, and access to funding sources will be made available. The curriculum comprises orientation activities, training, and personalised mentorship from business, business management, communication, and storytelling specialists, both in the classroom and online. Workshops and laboratories to refine ideas and transform them into tangible initiatives, as well as events and networking opportunities to foster key business contacts.
