There is until June 10, 2025 to apply for the "Investment in Sustainable Pleasure Boating" incentive, which is supported by the Ministry of Business and Made in Italy and handled by Invitalia.
The initiative has a budget of 3 million euros and will be used to stimulate the replacement of endothermic propulsion engines fuelled by fossil fuels with electrically powered propulsion engines, thus promoting the ecological transition in the pleasure boating industry.
Subsidies are provided for the purchase of an engine and a possible battery pack for use and installation on recreational vessels.
The maximum payment for individuals is 8,000 euros, while organisations can receive up to 50,000 euros.
Applicants must possess pleasure craft that are used for navigation for sporting or recreational reasons, not for profit, in coastal and inland waters, for commercial or social boating.
