The European Commission will invest €1.3 billion under the Digital Europe initiative in the deployment and usage of artificial intelligence (AI) by enterprises and governments, cloud and data, cyber resilience, and digital skills.
The Digital work programme's key priorities include improving the availability of generative AI in key sectors such as healthcare, supporting European digital innovation hubs to provide businesses with access to technical expertise and opportunities to test technologies, the Destination Earth initiative to support climate and disaster risk management, strengthening cyber resilience, developing the capacity of EU education institutions to nurture and attract talent, facilitating the structuring of EU digital identity portfolios and stimulating the digital transformation of public services.
