The Ministry of Agriculture has allocated 52 million euros for business innovation

Dal Ministero dell’Agricoltura 52 milioni per l’innovazione delle imprese

The Council of Ministers recently passed a decree law that will raise the Agriculture Innovation Fund by 47 million euros for the current year. The fund supports agricultural, agro-mechanical, fishing, and aquaculture businesses that invest in new technologies for digital business management, the use of cutting-edge machinery and tractors, robotic solutions, sensors, 4.0 platforms and infrastructure, water conservation, and chemical reduction.

Ismea's most recent notice, published in December 2024, called for a 175 million euros budget and received extraordinary participation, with requests for donations significantly exceeding the available resources. An additional 47 million euros has been added, allowing it to respond to hundreds more enterprises that will join the nearly 2,000 companies previously supported, the majority of which are micro and small businesses managed by young entrepreneurs.

The decree also grants an additional 5 million euros to farmers impacted by African swine flu, adding to the Ministry's previous allocation of 4 million euros.
