Simest, the CDP Group company for the internationalisation of Italian companies, has launched the ‘India Package’, a programme totalling 500 million euros to support Italian companies' exports and investments in the Indian market.
The measure makes immediately available a ceiling of 200 million euros from Fund 394/81, managed by Simest on behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, to be used for granting subsidised loans.
The resources are intended for both companies that already export and those that have not yet started exporting, to support investment, import/export projects with India.
The measure provides for a non-repayable grant of up to 20% for SMEs, innovative start-ups and companies based in southern Italy, and 10% for all other companies. Funding is also available for measures to strengthen capital adequacy, innovation, digital and green transition, training of local staff, expenses related to entry and stay in Italy, search for partners, development of new business opportunities, participation in matchmaking events and the opening of temporary stores.
The ‘India Package’ is completed by a further 300 million euros, which have been available since 7th August under the "Credito Fornitore" (Supplier Credit) initiative, which is geared to promoting the export of investment goods and related services produced by Italian enterprises for the Indian market.
