How it works

The applicant may submit the DUAAP application electronically through a series of guided steps (click here to begin the process):

  1. kinds of action (starting a new business, expansion of premises, construction works, etc.);
  2. downloading the files in pdf format;
  3. filling in and saving them;
  4. signing them digitally;
  5. logging into the system;
  6. uploading the files to the system.

Once the procedure is completed, you will receive an automatic response: in most cases, this allows you to start the action/activity immediately, or after 20 days in the case of construction works.

Only if summoning a meeting of authorizing bodies is required will it be necessary to wait for the final decision to be made before starting the activity, but in any case this must take place in a short and certain time.

All data and documents acquired by the business advisory centre undergo a preliminary formal verification and, following this, a final receipt is released electronically, thus replacing and superseding the previous automatic response.

Caution:

In the event of system downs, it is possible to forward the documents to the certified email service (PEC) of the Municipality where the activity or project is to be started by using one's own PEC service.

If the digital signature and the certified email services are not available, the entrepreneur may forward the files electronically through a third party, against provision of a special power of attorney or proxy.
