The second edition of the "Wine South America" Fair will be held from 25 to 27 September at Bento Gonçalves, in the State of Rio Grande do Sul (Brazil). The event, organized by the Veronafiere subsidiary in Brazil, aims to create joint ventures and collaborations between Italian and Latin American wineries following the signing of the Trade Agreement between the European Union and Mercosur, the Common Market of South America founded in 1991 by Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay and Uruguay.

Thanks to the Agreement, the duties currently in force on European wines (current duty of 27%) will be eliminated and over 350 geographical indications will be protected, including wines and alcoholic beverages, thus opening up new internationalization opportunities for Italian companies in Latin America.
