It will be a particularly intense 2019 for the Italian wine sector and for the operators committed to internationalizing Italian products. Among these ICE, the Italian foreign trade agency, has put in place, among its various activities, a check-up of the state of health of the Benelux market through the organization of the Wine Exchange in Amsterdam and Brussels, scheduled from 11 to 13 March.

Belgium and the Netherlands are two important references for Italian wine exports. Between January and July this year exports reached a value of 73 million euros for Belgium with an increase of 13.4%, while for the Netherlands the value is equal to 83 million and the growth is 10%. Italy is the third-largest supplier in Belgium, with a market share of 8% that puts us behind France (54.6%) and Spain (11%), while in Holland the market share is 8.4% %, and Italy is preceded by France (26.65%), Germany (17.9%), Chile (11.2%) and Spain (9.8%).

The Exchange is an effective promotional tool, which allows producers to seize new business opportunities and consolidate their contacts. A maximum of twenty companies will be admitted. To apply, it is necessary to submit the attached application form and the general terms of participation in the initiatives of the ICE to the certified mail address vini@cert.ice.it by December 14th.
