ICE, the Italian Foreign Trade Agency, has published an expression of interest in order to select start-ups willing to participate to Italy RestartsUpSMAU which will take place in London from 10 to 12 April 2019.
The event, now in its second edition, provides for selected start-ups a series of networking activities and opportunities that will take place during three days, with the aim to match with British investors (eg business angels, venture capitalists, investment funds, corporate). The event will follow this program:
10 April: evening reception at the Italian Embassy in London, at the presence of the institutional representatives of the involved Regions, the main Italian incubators and accelerators and a selection of British investors and corporates;
11 April: all-day event at the Old Truman Brewery, with matching and speed pitching meetings to present startups to the public of British investors and corporations interested in getting in touch with the Italian startup ecosystem;
April 12: tour of the London incubators and accelerators, to stimulate the creation of partnerships between them and the Italian ecosystem participating in the initiative.
To be selected, start-ups must meet certain requirements: b2b product or service; product or service ready for the market, with interest in developing its market and international developments; availability of references (customers) or, alternatively, have a company already consolidated in the company or have already received an investment of 500 thousand euros; innovative content of the product or service; interest in finding industrial or financial partners or investors.
Startups that meet the above requirements can send their expressions of interest to participate in the Italy event RestartsUp SMAU by filling out the application form which must be sent to the e-mail address f.mansani.contr@ice.it and a copy to the address londra@ice.it by March 19th. Furthermore, it is absolutely mandatory to fill in the online form to facilitate the selection process. The form to fill out is in English.
Participation in the various moments of meeting and networking for the 7 selected startups will be free, excluding travel and accommodation expenses, which remain the responsibility of the startup. The ICE Agency will notify all those who have sent their request to participate, confirming or not their presence.
