Made in Italy exports are growing, according to the Istat report on foreign trade

It was an end of year with a positive sign for Made in Italy exports. This is what the latest ISTAT report on foreign trade says, according to which exports returned to grow in October 2018. Italian exports recorded an increase of 9.6% on an annual basis, with a rise for European countries of 8.1% and non-European countries of 11.5%. In the Old Continent the Netherlands are driving with + 20.8%, Switzerland with + 16.2%, Poland with + 14.8%, Germany with + 7.7% and France with + 4.6%. In non-European countries, the growth rate on an annual basis is the United States with + 22.3% and China with + 14.8%.

 

From January to October 2018 Italian exports grew by 3.8% compared to the same period in 2017. The sectors most involved are: base metals and metal products with + 6.2%, vehicles excluding cars + 8.3%, pharmaceuticals with + 7.2%, electrical appliances and clothing items leather excluded with + 4%. Only the cars market receded: -22% in the US and -32.8% in China. The balance of Italy's trade in the first ten months of 2018 reaches 32 billion and 300 million euros.
