Export, Italy grows in South Korea: our country is the third European partner in Seoul

Following the EU-Korea free trade agreement, which can be read widely by clicking here, European exports to South Korea have increased by 60%. Italy is among the countries that have benefited most from the entry into force of the agreement. Between 2010 and 2016, Italian exports to Korea increased more than the EU average. The balance of Italy's trade balance is positive: in 2017, our country exported products for 4.3 billion euros compared to 3.4 billion imports from Korea. According to data provided by SACE, Italian exports are set to increase over the next few years to reach 5.5 billion euros in 2021, an increase of about 850 million. To date, Italy is the third commercial partner of Seoul.

According to the data provided for 2017 by the ICE, the Italian Trade Agency, the driving sectors of made in Italy are: machinery ( € 996 million ); leather goods, excluding clothing ( € 665.2 million ); clothing ( € 472.4million ); motor vehicles ( € 316.6 million ); chemical products ( € 262.3 million ); agrifood products and beverages (225 mil €); pharmaceutical products (196 mil €); textile products ( € 179.3 million ); electronics (€ 154.8 million) and computers (€ 140.9 million).
