ICE, the Italian Foreign Trade Agency organizes a mission in Beirut (Lebanon) for operators in the agri-food and fisheries sector scheduled from 11 to 13 June 2019. The mission's objective is to promote partnerships as well as other forms of industrial collaboration with selected Lebanese counterparts in the framework of local development plans and international financing that Lebanon benefits from. The program includes a series of activities including institutional meetings, B2B meetings with Lebanese companies, company visits.

Lebanon presents numerous opportunities for businesses thanks to a series of development programs, some of which are already in progress and others are planned, supported by international donors including Italy. Thanks to the support of the Italian Government, a Master Plan has been drawn up which provides for the creation of at least three industrial Parks, of which two are for food purposes. The Italian project also enjoys the financial support of important financial institutions - such as the European Investment Bank (EIB) and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) - with a total investment of 121 million dollars.

The Lebanese government, through Vision 2025, is investing in strengthening and developing the agri-food and fishing industry, a sector that involves over 1,400 companies and represents 30% of Lebanon's exports. Berytech, a Lebanese business incubator, has launched a cluster to support innovation in the agri-food sector and contribute to the development of new innovative products that can be exported.
