ICE, the Italian foreign trade agency, promotes and supports the participation of local companies at the fourteenth edition of Bio Korea 2019, the international biotechnology fair scheduled from 17 to 19 April 2019 at Coex of Seoul. It is one of the main international events for professional and qualified operators in the biotechnology sector. South Korea is one of the most advanced and dynamic countries in the sector thanks to the integration between applied scientific research and the development of public and private industrial initiatives. Every year the South Korean government invests 4.5% of GDP in research and development: among the OECD countries, this is the highest figure.

For start-ups and European SMEs that develop innovative products or technologies, the South Korean event is a unique opportunity to meet local stakeholders. The ICE initiative is aimed at companies in the sector, districts, research centres, universities, institutes and associations, with the aim of facilitating them in the launch of scientific, technological and industrial collaborations, strategic alliances and production partnerships for projects innovative research and technological development.

The Agency will set up an institutional stand, a point of reference for participating Italian companies, for business meetings, networking and seminars. It is also possible to participate in the bilateral South Korea-Italy Symposium of 18 April, dedicated to "Advanced therapy medicinal products: status report and collaboration opportunities" and to "Cancer immunotherapy ", which the Ice offices of Seoul have organized together with Office of the scientific advisor of the Italian Embassy in Korea.

To participate, companies must complete the online application form and send it together with the regulation of ICE promotional activities. Both documents should be signed, stamped and sent by December 7 to the certified email address scienzedellavita@cert.ice.it.
